| diahasan12:23 UTC29 May 2007 | Hi,
We are flying into Nadi August 29th and staying 7 nights. We'd like some help picking a place to stay. It needs to be "modernish", clean, good beach, good snorkelling, good diving, activities, etc. a spa would be nice but not necessary. I would love for it to have a kids club.
We are travelling with a one year old and a five year old. We are open to a resort type place or a nice place with a kitchenette. My husband lives to dive so i need to keep him in mind. I'd like to keep my five year old busy and we dont want to spend a lot of time getting from Nadi to the island of choice.
Would really appreciate some good advice. I dont want to spend too much either - our budget will allow something around $150/night - if it has a kids club we may go a bit above that.
And Im also wondering if there are good all-inclusive options.
Thanks! Nadia

Chances are, you will spend your first night in Nadi, just ask the receptionists of the hotel to book you onto the Yasawa Flyer (catamaran that runs betweent the islands) for the island you want to go to. A bus will pick you up the next morning and take you to Denarau marina where you get loaded onto the catamaran and shipped off to the island.
One possible suggestion is Octopus Island resort on Waya in the Yasawas, but im not too sure if it's that kid-friendly. It does have good snorkelling, diving, beach, activities etc. They have a family bure that is not too expensive (well, it wasnt 9 months ago, things have changed since the coup though- beware!) It is very nice and has good food and a swimming pool, so it might well be the place. Other than that, look at LP's Fiji book.
Hope this helps a bit.
