Fiji for Christmas and New YearCountry forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji
Heey guys I know it is more expensive and crowded in Fiji at christmas and new year and I know as well that it is actually rainy season. But I'm working in Australia at the moment and I need a good diversion, because I cant spend these days with my family!:) So I have just a question: Usually I never book accomondations and any kind of adventure in advance. Im glad for any kind of help. Salute Romey
I never used to pre-book accommodation in Fiji, but on my last trip immigration wasn't at all happy with this. I explained that in all my 15 visits to Fiji I have never, ever pre-booked, but he still wasn't happy so demanded an email address . As almost all budget hotels/hostels have closed down, in Nadi anyway, it's not as easy as it once was to find a place on arrival, so if you are going at a busy time of year I'd think pre-booking somewhere to stay would be the safest bet. | 1
you may find some popular places are booked out for parts of Christmas New Year, as if they have vacancies they advertise it for the locals, it can be quite wet, but it doesn't really matter as it is warm and you soon dry off. and its not that crowded as none of the resorts are massive even if totally full | 2
