Fiji for NYE

I am going to Fiji for 2 nights (the 30th and 31st Dec) with my boyfriend and am looking for ideas for the best place to stay as we will be bringing in the New Year here. We are from Scotland and are used to having a party on New Years Eve so want to have a good time while we're in Fiji. Can anyone recommend a good place to stay. Also, our flight to San Francisco leaves at 10pm on the 1st, do you think it would be possible to keep the room until nearer this time rather than checking out in the morning. I don't want to spend a fortune but would like a decent place for a reasonable amount of money (sorry I'm not sure what the going rate in in Fiji).

Most of the resort-type places have NYE celebrations. But if you are on an outer island, and leaving Jan 1 from Nadi, you should head back to Nadi in the a.m. and get a day room until your flight. Several places near the airport offer this.

Check the price of a day room first. Some hotels charge 80% of the nightly rate just for the few hours you want it. All you really need is a place to store your luggage and get a shower before your flight, so one of the cheaper airport hotels would do.
