Fiji in February/March

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji

Hello! I'm planning to go to Fiji in February or March next year, but I have heard this is raining season in Fiji. Has anyone been there during these months? How bad was the rain? Is it a good idea to go there then?
And I have got another question; what would be a good time to stay in Fiji? I was thinking about two weeks. I'd like to see a lot of the Islands, but I don't want to spend two weeks just lying on the beach. What would be best?
Thanks!

Linneke

It usually, though not always, rains for a short time, then will be sunny during parts of each day. It will definitely be humid. If you hate humidity, go from May to October. But as far as rain, it shouldn't stop you from going if you don't mind the occasional downpour.

One can spend a week to a few months in fiji and not see or do everything, of course. Two weeks is a good period for a first trip. Visit the main island for a few days, then pick a couple of outer islands to visit.
