Fiji Itinerary Help

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji

Hi All,

My fiancee and I are currently in South America. Our next stop is Fiji for 9 days at the end of June. We haven't yet got any guidebooks for Fiji but want to start planning what we are going to do there and where we are going to stay.

We want to spend 2-3 days chilling out somewhere nice and then the remainder visiting a few other islands. Can anyone suggest which islands might be the best to include in a limited timescale? Also, any advice on mid-range accommodation in nice locations?

Many thanks
Ash

Hi there,

If you decide to book your holidays online you may want to check Holiday, you have several search options, you can search by distance to beach, lenght of flight, temperature, etc.
It really is a good way to get what you want.

Hope that helps.

A beautiful place is the Octopus-Resort at Waya (Yasavas), 1 1/2 speed-boat from Denaru. You can book online, check the web-side.

Hey there

going to fiji myself in about 2 weeks, so excited but been there before and we'll be heading to the east side of viti levu to the island of Ovalou to visit Levuka (the old capitol) and Rukuruku some lovely places to stay on the island not too expensive also there is a lovely little island for backpackers called Leluvia in that area that is only 1/2 hour to walk round... so pretty

good luck with your travels

Best is to get a Bullapass (Ferrytransfer) and some Accomodation voucher(for all the resorts). You can change your destination every day at the ferry. It is all in one hand so very easy to handle. The company who sells it is aweseome adventures. I stayed at Beachcomber for a couple of night (the best party island) and then go to Coral View and Octopus Island. I loved the Wanaka Cruise ship which is a dorm but you go to villages on the islands and stop at the most beautiful beaches.

Hope that helps. It is wonderful there.
Make shure you get cash at the airport or in the port before heading to the islands. No credit cards in most places.
