| bjorn7701:45 UTC22 Aug 2007 | Hi, Im flying to Sydney in sept. and was planning to spend around 3 months traveling around the Pacific. I plan to at least visit Vanuatu and Fiji this time (Ive been to the region a few times before). However, Ive not booked any flights save the one from Europe to Sydney. I was wondering how sucsesfull Id be sorting flights once I get there, ideally heading out 'quite soon' after arriving in Oz. My reasoning was I might be able to get some decent deals down there, compared to booking stuff in Europe. However Im now reading on this forum that september can get quite busy with holidaymakers and flights could be fully booked. Somehow I had reasoned that most Aussies have their big break over xmas/summer and sept/oct wouldnt be an issue. I was wondering therefor if anyone could point me out to any decent travelagents (based in Sydney would be nice) or airlines that specialise in Pacific island travel. I was poking around Virgin blue's pacific website, but couldnt quite figure out how to enter a multi-stop trip (and to be fair id rather step into an office and chat to some people).
Hope I explained that properly :) and anyone can give me some pointers cheers

We worked with Glenda of Melanesian Tours and would highly recommend her. Their website lists a number of tours or they can put a special one together. You might check with Air Pacific as they fly from Sydney to Nadi and I think they code share for a flight to Vanuatu, but it might be best to call or e-mail them for this information.

As Ive already booked my ticket to Sydney a RTW one would be difficult at the moment, but yea with hindsight it mightve been a better (cheaper) option. I have been reading everywhere that sept is the busy season which realy hadnt crossed my mind. Ill check the Melanesian tours website now Newfie, thanks for your tip.
Cheers!
