| lukar21:52 UTC29 Mar 2007 | We spent our 10 days on Fiji partly on the main island and partly on Nacula island (Yasawa group). We've been there in the middle of march and got married in Seashell Resort at Momi Bay. It was their first marriage this year and everyone was very helpful. Although the resort is a bit of a drive from Nadi (about 50min) it is a real nice getaway with lots of vegetation. The on-site beach is not very useful with very shallow water but there are two nice pools and lots of activities available to visit surrounding islands and nearby beaches. There is a Marriot resort being built in the neighbourhood. The staff are genuinely friendly and very helpful. We paid 150FJD for a bure overlooking the ocean (breakfast is included), there are also cheaper rooms. The bure was very spacious with a very functionable kitchen, fridge and fans and it sleeps three persons. In Nacula we stayed at Nalova Lodge which was perfect with a bure (quite basic with a fan and fridge) almost on the beach with all the meals plus afternoon tea/coffee served on the porch. The resort is located in the famous Oarsman's Bay (which has one of the best beaches in Fiji) and borders to Oarsman's Bay Lodge. We paid 200FJD for accomodation and all the meals. We were a bit unfortunate since the beaches were full of washed up vulcanic stones (which float on water) coming from Tonga, where a new island erupted recently. But anyhow it only limits the perfect pictures from being taken...
