beachcomber's island is good to party for new year's eve.

we're staying on denaurau island for new year's eve - last year the sofitel had a big party there. that might be an option is your are nearby, just get a taxi there for a decent party?

Take a look at uprising beach resort. The dorm is around 35FJD including breakfast and the resort should be jumping with locals and tourists around that time of year

Hey,
You should check out Uprising Beach Resort. Its located in Pacific Harbour, which is known as Fiji's adventure capital. I live in Pacific Harbour but live in NZ for schooling, and its awsome, nothing beats it... You can organize Uprising to take you out fishing..they have a beautiful boat called Forceline. The place is packed full of locals and tourists around New Years time..its very laid back, fun! The locals are very friendly so your bound to have a great time. Pacific Harbour has a world renound surf break called Frigates Passage if you're into that kinda thing..they have white water rafting, and the famous Shark Dive. Uprising has a variety of activities ranging from kite surfing, jet skiing, trips to the outer islands off of Pacific Harbour.

Check our their website, especially the video and it also shows you all the acitivities that Pacific Harbour offers. There are dorms available at Uprising if you're looking for the cheaper option, or just across the road from Uprising is The Arts Village - Tsulu Backpackers that also has back packer accommodation - www.tsulu.com.

Uprising's website: uprisingbeachresort.com

Theirs also a five star hotel just down the road called The Pearl - http://www.thepearlsouthpacific.com/ which have hosted some pretty insane New Years parties with AMAZING fire works..although, its mostly the old gang that go! So I'm still suggesting Uprising. They also do fishing etc. etc.

Pacific Harbour hosts an annual gamefishing tournament which is always fun amongst the locals..marlins, mahimahi, wahu, walu, yellow fin tuna..so you're bound to catch something big!

Good luck!
