fiji newlyweds in feb..where to stay?

SO we are looking for somewhere to stay on our 5 day layover in fiji on our way to austraila...we are a couple who are into seeing and doing lots of adventures as well as like to meet people and have a good time. would like to stay in a beach bure. Somewhere where food is good or at least accesible to the resort..any info would be great!!! Is fiji somewhere we should book ahead or just wing it and figure it out once there?
