Fiji Nightlife

Hey,
I am going to Fiji for a wedding at the end of August. We are staying for a week on the main island. I am 23 and looking to experience the local nightlife...any suggestions?

I am also looking to purchase some paintings. Does anyone know where I could find local artists? Looking to spend no more then $150AU

Any other tips would be much appreciated

Local nightlife? Depends where you are. Most places it will be several men sitting around a kava bowl.

Suva, Nadi have nightclubs, as do some of the big resorts.

Ibiza this is not.

They are really into ceramics, but I save seen a few paintings at Creativiti, in Namaka, between Nadi and the airport.

The New Nadi Farmers Club is an authentically Fijian pub by the river. The bands and dancing are great and there is a floorshow Wednesday to Sunday with authentic Fijian dancing and fire twirling. Owners Tom and Tracey are keen to ensure that everyone has a great time and give the place a friendly atmosphere. Food is good and drinks reasonably priced. Go for a great night and lots of fun. There is an amazing shop with kaftans, beach bags and hats also. It was a real find as we were staying on Denarau, but well worth the trip to Nadi ... went back 3 times on our recent visit!
