Fiji on my own - what to do week!

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji

Hi there, i will be travelling to Fiji as part of my RTW and have 7 nights there. Arrive later afternoon on a sunday and depart early afternoon the following sunday...

Originally i was going to do the feejee experience (whole hula) with a couple of trips added on as i was solo but as ive only got a week i think i'd now rather travel the yassawas and mamanucas islands. I definetely want to go to Beachcomber island...

My criteria is beaches, relaxing, the odd sight and trip plus some partying

I had been looking at Awesome Adventures Fiji and have a dilemma..

Beach Bum Pass: http://www.awesomefiji.com/shortpack-beach-bum.aspx

But with this i guess im limited to just the 2 islands? but i would meet people? and its 2 of the islands i want to do...

or the 7 day bula pass? could go anywhere but have to sort out accom etc which isnt guaranteed plus will i meet people as a solo traveller doing this?

any help greatly appreciated or suggestions of a better route...

Regards,
Dan

Hi Danny_boy82, It looks like your shortpack beach bum trip allows extra nights at both Beachcomber and Manta ray. You will have to overnight in Nadi the first night anyway and probably the last night as well, so why don't you request an extra night at either of the islands which will use up your 7 nights. You will meet plenty of people on the snorkelling trips, at dinner and at the bar----people are pretty friendly at these islands. Don't worry----just go and have a good time.

Thanks.

Ideally i'd like to fit a 3rd island in if my pass allows for 1 day/night, was either thinking of octopus in between or something further north of manta, any suggestions?

i would recommend u come here, check the place out and then book. I would pre book anything. Feejee is a beautiful country with lots to see and friendly locals. Well ofcourse there is white sandy beaches and lots of adventure. I would recommend u stay in Nadi and go Island Hopping, it be much more cheaper. Lots of activities, like snokerlling, zip lining, skydiving, nite life (partyin), local markets and handicraft, great shopping and affordable. Great choices of restaurants. Nadi is like the gateway to all major resorts and islands.

Do not hesitate to ask any more questions.

cheers
