Fiji - small island in a tent?

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji

Sorry for the repeated message - I'm trying to get used to how the site works, hopefully it will be in the Fiji section this time!

I'm visiting Fiji with my wife in March, just for two nights. We want to stay on a small island which we can walk around in half an hour or so, but we don't want to spend a small fortune and are happy to stay in a static tent as we're not worried about too many luxuries.

I've looked at a good few websites but they generally seem to only offer dormitories (but we'd prefer something more private) or bures which are very expensive. Can anyone recommend a small island that might be okay?

Caqalai - tiny island takes just 10 minutes to walk around, basic everything but lovely people, food provided, sleep in bures or dorms........To get there go via Nasori bridge or Ovalau,.....
