I need some advice please on whether to book flights or use the Flyer to travel between Nadi and Blue Lagoon Resort.
Our flight home leaves Nadi at 2.30pm on a Saturday. So we have to be back in Nadi by the morning.
We're looking at two options.
-
Spend the whole time at Blue Lagoon then fly back to Nadi in time for our flight.
Q Does anyone have information on the cost of this flight? Options for airlines? Q Do you think it's cheaper/the same for us to simply fly each way, rather than catch the Bula Flyer up there, then fly back? Or is it more expensive? Is the Bula Flyer a nice island hopping experience? Or would flying be more fun?
-
Return closer to Nadi (maybe stay at Bounty Is) for the last night, then catch the Bula Flyer back in time to catch our flight. Q Anyone know the timetables and whether we would have to return to Nadi, then catch another ferry to go to Bounty? Or is it on the way back from Blue Lagoon?
Any other solutions or suggestions of what to do around Blue Lagoon would be most welcome too.... Many thanks in advance!

Apart from Turtle Airways do you know if there's any other charter airlines/float planes that we could look at chartering? There's three of us, so may work okay to split? I'll look into the water taxi from Bounty - that could be a good option I guess. Cheers

| tch703:11 UTC01 Jun 2011 | 1a. Roughly $270 one way to/from Turtle Island, plus a $15 charge for the boat transfer between Turtle Island & Blue Lagoon. Turtle Airways is the only option. The guy I met that did it said it was the best flight he'd ever had and couldn't stop raving about it.
1b. The Yasawa Flyer is enjoyable enough and a good way to get a glimpse of the Yasawas. Flying is probably going to be much more memorable, but it is more expensive. You don't say how long you'll be in Fiji, so it's hard to make any recommendation.
- Not possible. The Flyer makes one trip out and one trip back each day, so regardless of how close you stay to Nadi, the Flyer is not an option unless you return to Nadi the night before your flight.
You'd have to stay at an island that has its own water taxi that leaves early enough. I believe Bounty has a water taxi, but you'd have to check its times. You can go straight from Blue Lagoon to Bounty on the Yasawa Flyer.
