Free Wi-fi at Shangri-la?

Hi all,
Taking my family to Coral coast in a weeks time for a short holiday.Staying at a "budget" resort called Geckos.Their paid Wi-fi is a bit expensive and not so reliable from what I've read.
The Shangri-la is close and seems to have a "sharing" arrangement with Geckos as far as using the Shangri-la beach.
I was wondering if the Free Wi-fi at the Shangri-la is available to anyone visiting the Shangri-la. If so I could check email occasionally there.

not sure but think you would need a guest password from Shangri-la to log on. Wi fi is expensive here, vodafone and digicel have shops at the airport arrivals, you could check with them for other options
