Gap Year Advice

I am planning on travelling to Fiji with two friends this summer for 5 weeks, we would also like to go to New Zealand and Australia and maybe stop off somewhere on the way home. What would be the most economical order to do these places in and does anyone have any advice or recommendations of things to do and visit?

I presume you mean your northern summer when you are coming, I would fly Fiji airways to Fiji and then you can go to either Australia or NZ with them, but it will be cold in NZ and parts of Australia

Where are you flying from, Europe? The U.S.? From the U.S., Fiji can be done as a stopover. From Europe, you may want to book the ticket to Australia/NZ and then find a discount carrier to get to Fiji.

Fiji Airways sometimes has good sales.
