Help!!!Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji
I am currently on a trip around several countries and I am pretty low on funds :( I considered omitting Fiji but changing my flights is looking at costing more than a cheap 2 weeks in Nadi. I was wondering is Nadi worth staying in for 2 weeks or am I gonna be bored and not experience the 'real' Fiji, only the touristy part?? If anyone could help me out with any advice or tips I would be the most grateful person on the planet!!!! :)

There isn't much to do around Nadi. If you can't afford to get to the Yasawas, then at least kook into taking to local bus around to other parts of the main island where there are beaches. | 2
Nadi gets boring after 2 hours. You can travel around most of the main island fairly cheaply with the buses, although it's definitely not as nice as going to the other islands. | 3
Nadi itself is barely worth 2 days, let alone 2 weeks. Definitely do tour at least Viti Levu (the "mainland"), and if even that's out of your budget, leave Fiji for another time. | 4
A while ago I was in Fiji for 6 weeks. The first 3 days I was in Nadi as I was figuring out plans and booking flights etc. I would not recommend Nadi for more than a period of 1 day. Only thing near it worth seeing is probably that orchid park / garden made by that movie star. -J | 5
