HELP: Fiji in 4 days!!Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji
Hi, I am going with 2 friends, all mid 20's, to Australia in Nov, and just got the chance to book a flight to Fiji (Nadi). It will be 4 nights there... not much time, but we can`t spend more. What do you think should be the best places to go in such short period??? Love beaches and party. Not interested in divining nor surfing... Really would appreciate some help!!!
Depends when your flights are, but you'll probably have to stay in Nadi your first and last nights. Unfortunately Nadi is rather blah, and the beaches are not what you envision for Fiji. For beaches/partying, Beachcomber Island is a realistic destination for your other 2 nights. It is the party island of the South Pacific. | 1
Depending what time your flight arrives you don't need to spend the first and last nights in Nadi (and I'd try and avoid it if you can!!) For example there are express buses going from the airport to Suva throughout the day. These travel all along the south coast of the main island and can drop you at any of the resorts along the way. Likewise there are plenty of buses returning to the airport daily. With only 4 days I'd skip staying in Nadi altogether! Google: Sunbeam, Pacific, Fiji Express, or Coral Sun bus companies for timetables. Suva is only about 3-3.5 hours away so you have plenty of time to reach a resort. | 2
One of the islands that tch7 mentions will give you what you ask for, but you won't see "Fiji", just a resort and a beautiful beach. Cheers, | 3
Hi, thank you for the tips! I just got my tickets. I will have 6 nights/7 days in Fiji. I will probably have to stay the first night in Nadi, since my flight arrives at 9PM. Then the idea is to go early next morning to Beachcomber Island, for 3 nights. Then I was hoping to go to another island for 2 extra nights, before flying back to Australia. Do you have any ideas of what would be nice to do on those 2 others days? I was thinking somewhere close to Beachcomber, so we dont have to spend too much time traveling. Thank you all for the tips! | 4
