The Shangri-La is a fabulous place and will give you - "access to great food, great pool, great snorkelling and the option of going deep sea fishing????? "It WONT give you "lots of privacy" - it is large and hundreds of guests. | 2
Hi we're going in one week to Nana nu I Ra off the very top of Viti Levu. We are staying at a relatively new blace "The Bungalows". Owned by an Australian couple, there are only 6 bungalows and it seems like agreat place if you just want to relax. There is a boat and skipper avilable at a good price but you would need your own fishing gear (I'm taking plenty!) alternatively, fishing can be arranged through a mainland charter. I have seen some bad reports on ome of the oher accom on the island but am confident this place will be good.Cost is $FJ250/night for a bungalow and you will save alot on drinks by BYO. I will post a report here in a couple of weeks. It is acually quite hard to find on the web. www.thebungalowsfiji.com | 3
if it is fishing you want, check out Lucky Strike (its a boat) based on Taveuni. Run by Geoffrey Amos (a kiwi) and I have heard it is exceptional value. from there the smaller island resorts would be Matangi Island or Qamea Beach Club. Also plenty of nice places to stay on Taveuni up near Geoffrey's place (Matei, which is where the air port is as well). Have fun. | 4
