Help We're Stranded on Denaru by Corp Junk

We are facing major challenges just getting a decent seafood dinner at a reasonable price in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Plus, all inquires about local ferry between islands has thus far been responded to by some sort of mind blowingly expensive resort thrill package. Can someone out there in the know help me decode this place that seems to have a corporate strangle hold about it?

No-you failed to do proper research beforehand and now your only hope is the application of large sums of money.

Denaru is hardly 'Fiji' at all, except for those who don't know better.
You will get good seafood from Cardos, but it won't be 'cheap'.

get out of Denarau and go to Fiji. The New Town beach area in Nadi cheaper, travelling around the North of Viti Levu or on Venua Levu and taveuni you will find the real Fiji. But maybe thats not what you are looking for. If you want resorts you will have to pay for them
