Help with 10 day Fiji trip

Hello,
Was hoping I could find help here and advice. I have 10 days in Fiji...not enough but want to get to surf frigates, dive beqa reef and see yasawas since I missed them last time. I am a backpacker used to dorms and the most basic accommodation. I have friends staying at wAidroka resort and I see you can dive beqa and surf frigates from there but it is a resort and accomm is far nicer and pricier than I need. Can you mayb recommend a good fun backs met hotel that I can stay in when I arrive and then mayb a backpacker near wAidroka where I can surf frigates And also see friends staying there?
Any idea how muh beqa dive is approx and how much bus/taxi is from nadi to wAidroka areA?

Hi Micah - have a look at beachouse (www.fijibeachouse.com), it's about 20km from Waidroka. Waidroka is about 5km off Queens Rd, Beachouse is on Queens Rd, so you could catch a local bus for about FJ$1 between the two & then a taxi from/to main road to Waidroka for maybe FJ$7.
Beachouse is a backpackers lodge with various room types. Mainly a young crowd. Decent lodge at budget price. Food & drinks are also cheap (main meal about FJ$15 & local beer from memory about FJ$4). Also has communal kitchen if you prefer to cook your own meals. They currently have a special on their website - 5 nights in dorm, breakfast, wifi, kayaks & kava for AU$99! Beach is ok (not bad for Coral Coast area) and I'm positive you can surf from the reef (about 250m out from shore). They also have regular surfing trips to popular local breaks, last time I was there they did runs to Frigates & I'm fairly sure they also organised Beqa Shark Dives.. Might be worth emailing them for pricing on surf trips & shark dive: info@fijibeachouse.com (only one letter 'h' in beachouse). You can catch the express coach bus direct from Nadi airport to Beachouse for FJ$12, timetable is on beachouse website.

you could also check out Uprising at Pacific Harbour, closer to Beqa for the diving though beachouse has nicer 'beach' for the times you aren't diving and the food and coffee is good there
