Hiking Nausori Highlands

Hi,

i am planning a backpacking trip to Fiji in May - June. Part ot the trip should be a stay at the Nausori Highlands.
Does any one has tips on organising ? What do you think about multi day treks or day treks or renting a car and move arround - are there sufficient budget places to stay.

There is a group in Suva that does walks occasionally. Can't recall the name....sorry....
There are also Hash House Harrier Clubs in Suva, Pacific Harbour and Lautoka. Try and find them for more onfo.
Driving in the highlands mostly requires a 4WD.
Also be aware that all land is "owned" by some one or some tribal group. You do need permission and that is not easily obtained without "local" assistance.
