Honeymoon in FijiCountry forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji
Hi there, My husband and I have booked to go to Fiji in January for our honeymoon. We are looking for recommendations for islands/resorts to visit. As we are there for quite some time we are looking to stay in nicer accommodation for part of the time as well as maybe something a bit more low budget (but still nice for honeymoon and relaxing). Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou in advance!
Our favourite, and we tried a few..... http://www.nanuyafiji.com/ Cheers, | 1
Thankyou for your reply! I noticed you had recommended this place to someone else and have checked it out. Definitely one to consider :-) | 2
My top three favourite resorts (which would all suit honeymoon): Likuliku (high end), Tropica (mid range) & Leleuvia (low budget).... All 3 are quiet & relaxing resorts with amazing beaches & awesome service! Likuliku & Tropica are adult only and every time I've stayed at Leleuvia there hasn't been many kids (at most maybe a handful of kids)... Good luck with your search, I'm sure you will have an amazing time wherever you decide to stay :) | 3
if you can afford it the Intercontinental at Natadola has the best beach in Fiji, I second Leleuvia as well. Also why not do one of the local short cruises and see a lot of Fiji islands rather than just be at one place | 4
Thanks for your suggestions! I would LOVE to stay at Likuliku but unfortunately we can not afford it at this stage in life. Hopefully down the track we will get to visit there! Thanks again for the info :-) | 5
Thanks for your advice, I will definitely be looking into these, especially your suggestion of the cruise :-) | 6
I know the people who own Likuliku and they have won many awards with this resort. It was beyond our budget too, unfortunately. Cheers, | 7
I would suggest Matamanoa Island Resort as a bit upmarket from Nanuya, its about twice as expensive but about half of the cost of LikuLiku. | 8
I am interested in a short cruse! Can you recommend an operator? My fiancé and I are going to have a dive holiday- do you know if any of the short cruises will allow you to dive while stopped? | 9
We used Blue Lagoon Cruises, but they don't exist now. Cheers, | 10
all the Captain Cook short or long cruises I have been on have diving each stop, the divers go in a different boat, they always seems to have professionals on board, there are specific diving tours as well with other operators, even from Leleuvia and Natadola they have dive sessions | 11
