hey everyone hope ya can give me a hand here..... so after being unexpectedly held out of college for an additional year more than i expected ive decided to do something with my extra year out and go travelling (again) so this will be my first round the world trip and solo effort and fiji being one of my goals, im looking to see if anyone can give me a hand here according to LP the weathers cooler in fiji around may, which is when i hope to arrive, now when it says cooler, am i expecting below 20 or between 20-30 degrees? just because i'd like to find somewhere where there will be a minimal amount of people on a small island somewhere to kinda chill and i dont know which cluster of the islands is best to do that on, if anyone has rough estimates on what it costs to get out to a specific group of islands (ignoring the yasawa's as i already know about) also is all accommodation on any of the outer islands pricey enough (give a € £ or $ estimate) compared to the main island? because i was lookin at vanuatu's smaller islands and the natives would only charge around €5 to stay in their homes which would be something id like to do to get a real feel for the place. i should probably add that im in my early 20's and up for meetin others round my age itd also be great if anyone has suggestions (and where) for some great hiking, surfing, snorkeling and most importantly music native or otherwise (i should be writing articles of countries im visiting on native or other music so that'd be a great help) that i could get around to doing? if you need help with my question ask away as i'd love to find out everything i need to know!! im not set on any agenda and usually wing everything, but its good to know options on whats the best places and where to be doing stuff!! thanks to anyone who can give me a hand here!! Howdy Peegeetips, I've just returned with my family from a year of living/working in Fiji and may be able to help. We were living in Denarau, about 3 minutes from the main resorts and although work consumed a great deal of my time, we did get out to the Yasawas and Mamanucas as well as SoniSali, Coral Coast, etc.,. As you likely already know, May is their winter which means evening temps COULD drop down to 20C although in my experience it was pretty rare. Daytime is still beautifully warm at mid 30C's and although its 'winter' you will get a couple hours of showers every now and then. Have a great time.I'd love to be back down there!! | 1 | |
