International flights to Suva (Nausori) ?

G'day all

Is it still the case that there a no flights directly from Sydney to Suva (Nausori)? There was a discussion about it on this branch a year ago and it seemed then that the answer was no. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure there aren't, but check with a travel agent to be sure. Maybe Air Pacific as well.

International flights from Nausori to Tonga, but not to Australia/NZ/Korea - apparently the runway is too short for the newer 737s. needs to be extended by 500m, but having trouble buying/leasing the land
