island hopping

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji

Hey, we have just booked our flights to Fiji and will be travelling from the 22nd of November to the 4th of December. We would like to island hop around Fiji and we have seen a package by STA that looks quite good. However they say we will need to book before we go, and we were wondering if we need to. If somebody has been to Fiji do you know how easy it is to buy a trip there? or will they already be booked up? also will it be cheaper to book before we go or whilst we are there?
I would really appreciate the help! thank you, Tom

Check out Awsome Adventures.
They have island hopping packages via the Yasawa Flyer that let you island hop the Yasawa group.
I have no doubt that they will take your money anytime you wish to offer it. It is unlikely to be full and there are many resorts to choose from at all sorts of price brackets.

Cheers,
Peter

There is absolutely no need to book in advance and booking in Fiji works out much cheaper. You can book right upon arrival in Nadi - I'd suggest shopping around at various travel agents though.

no real need to book in advance but it does secure your accom if you want somewhere specific and on dates you want as some places are kinda small and these do fill up in busier times, but if you are free to just find whereever can fit you in you should be fine enough, I usually just book accm on the travel desk on board and they'll ring through, but doing so has meant ive ended up 3 islands down from my preference. its all good though.
