Nadi accom. reccomendations please!!Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji
Hi, have trawled through the posts and Mama's is booked out for the dates I will be in Nadi. Basically am looking for comfy low-mid priced accomodation in Nadi for my overnight stay on my way to and returning from my Yasawa Island adventure (so obvioulsy closer to the airport and the Yasawa Flyer Marina). I'll be on my honeymoon, so nothing too cheap and nasty but nothing too resorty as we'll only be stopping over there. Oh and good food is a must!! Thanks in advance for your suggestions!
Try Bluewater Lodge - situated in between Denarau and the airport. | 1
Raffles Gateway Hotel is right opposite the airport and is quite nice (and good price). The awesome adventures bus will collect you from there. | 2
BTW they have a couple of restaurant options in the Raffles Hotel and also 2 swimming pools. | 3
We usually stay at Raffles if we need an overnight stay before or after heading to the islands. | 4
Nadi Bay Resort Hotel | 5 | |
we also travelled on the Yasawa Flyer and had to over night in Nadi we stayed at the Aquarius and it was GREAT nothing flash but clean and tidy we booked by www.wotif.com the Yasawa Flyer has a free shuttle bus that will take you there after you get off the flyer | 6
I just returned from Fiji on a similar itinerary (Nadi > Yasawa > Manamucas > Nadi) and highly recommend Bluewater Lodge for bookend nights in Nadi. Surprisingly great rooms with AC, bathrooms, huge beds, modern pacific decor for a backpacker-level budget. One of the owners is a chef who really knows what she is doing for dinner. There is a pool. It's not a party spot -- more of a really nice place to relax and meet a few other guests. | 7
I liked Aquarius - nice area around pool to eat - stayed at Raffles and Tuka...?? next door to raffles...mmm - much rather Aquarius - and cheaper - go for a room upstairs overlooking water - enjoy | 8
#8 if by "Tuka...?? next door to raffles" you mean the white modern looking place with the bar, then , I agree with you. It looks ok, but is lifeless and crap facilities. | 9
#8 probably means Tokatoka. | 10
Tokatoka wasnt what I was thinking of - maybe Trans International? - a white square place right next door. | 11
Yes that one is Trans International. Have not stayed there but they showed us through and had a look at the rooms which were very adequate but its just an alternative when waiting for a flight not a destination in itself. | 12
Its very strange that you only talk about I, are you marrying yourself?!!! | 13
