nadi - suva. taxi or car rental

does anyone how much a taxi from nadi airport to suva, via queens rd, would cost?

and

does anyone know and recommend a rent-a-car agency (maybe a local one) which could be cheaper than the big international ones (hertz, avis, etc)?

We've used Sharmas several times with no problems (last time 2 years back).

The big international ones are often not that much more. Considering that they are reliable, with very late model cars and many branches, this could be a great advantage.

To get the Korolevu by taxi is $80.00 (negotiated price) and thats about half way... So I guess its fair to say you would be up for atleast $160.00

I's stick to the main rental agencies, and get the latest model. Some of the older rental cars are OK for around town, but I wouldn't trust them from Nadi to Suva, etc.

A friend did this recently and the taxi from Suva to Nadi cost $180. Always checked the price with the driver before getting in the cab.
