| zurek06:34 UTC29 Sep 2008 | Hi Im going to Fiji in 3 weeks time and apart from Tavewa Island(anyone been there?) I really want to go to Navala Village meet locals and stay there for at least one night. I will arrive in Nadi at 2pm and would love to get to Navala staright away from the airport ,does anyone knows if this would be possible? I was thinking to take a local bus or rent a car. I also wish to avoid organized tours but if doing a tour is the only way to go there then I guess I will have to do it:/ Can anyone pls reccomend me a good/fastest way to get there? Also what kind of gifts I should bring for the locals. I know I dont have to but I would love too:)I was thinking about some sweets, clothes etc... for children but not sure...
Thank u for any help:)

Even if the resort is full they'll find room for you somewhere I'm sure.
Forget gifts for kids with the tourists that place sees they'll be doing fine but you should bring a Sevu Sevu for the Chief if you just show up like that.
