Night/day in Nadi

My boyfriend and I have a 27 hour layover in Fiji on way to LA from New Zealand -- we are wanting to spend the night and a day on the beach in a not too touristy/busy/backpackery place on the beach. Any recommendations? Anywhere in the Mamanuscus that are easy to get to for a night/day? Thanks!

You can get daycruises from the Port at Deneraru or from Lautoka

If you're flying into Nadi, I'd recommend The Beachhouse. It's cheap and right on the beach. It's just east of Sigatoka.
