NYE Fiji 2012

My boyfriend & I are planning to go to Fiji for new years and I’m wondering if anyone knows of any good places to party.

Thinking of staying at the Sheraton on Denarau island so it would be ideal if there was somewhere close by so we’re able to stumble home. I've never stayed on this island so no idea what's around.

I’m 20, my boyfriend is a few years older – we’re not really looking for a teenage trash beach party type thing but just something with atmosphere/music – a good bar??

Also – has anyone stayed at the Sheraton? I love kids but not when I’m on holidays :)

Lastly, we love dining out - any suggestions of good restaurants? I know a lot of resorts offer meal inclusions - is this the way to go? As I think I'd rather venture out to different places for dinner.. would be happy to have brekky at the hotel every morning though.

Note that Denarau Island is not really an island. It is reclaimed land with a main road running to a dozen 5 star hotels. If that suits, then fine, but it is not really ''Fiji''.
There are several resort islands of various styles within an hours boat ride or less from Port Denarau, I would pick one of those for the night.

Also at Port Denarau there are several good western style eating places.
One of the best is Carlos.
They will probably have free public (tourist) entertainment at the Port on NYE.
