Oarsman's Bay Lodge/Nacula Island questionsCountry forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji
Hello all, My brother and I are going to the Yasawas for 3 nights/4 days, so we're only going to one island. We're thinking about staying at Oarsman's Bay Lodge (the 4.5 hour boat ride doesn't bother us), and I have a few questions:
Thank you very much! | ||
Oarsman is great! There is good hiking both around the southern paort of the coast to the village and bungalows round there - about an hr each way at low to mid tide U can still get back at high tide but its over land and hills They are not hard walkjs bu very enjoyabel to fill a 4 day an boos the appetite and yearn for a dip it the sea! There is a grea t wal to the top of the hill with a view to die for of the island and Yasawas both to the north and south. Do this first to get your bearings. Return time say 3-4 hrs wityh some site seeing. The locals will show u the way to both. Then there is the walk to the village. Yes Im sure U can arrange a private charter with the Oarsman folk to go to the Blue lagoon I went fishin all over the place with them often. Give them a call on Skype and ask!! Or simply arrange when u are there. The food lodgings snorkeling and everyting there are great. I suggest U do the sums on the last one Enjoy | 1
there are a lot of great places off the boat headed into the yasawas but most arent large esp for sharedorm beds so you need to book 2 days out to give yourself a better chance of scoring a bed, more in some like Octopus. enjoy! | 2
