Octopus or Castaway?

This is our holiday of a lifetime and a huge decision! If anyone can give me an idea on how the resorts compare as our party is split ..... Is Castaway really worth the extra money, how do the beaches compare is Castaway going to have the atmosphere of Octopus and the same "Fiji" feel or is it just another posh resort where you could be anywhere in the world?
