Questions on visiting the Fiji Islands

I am thinking about traveling to the Fiji Islands and I have a few questions for people who have visited! If anyone could help me that would be great!

What islands or hotels would you recommend staying in?
what are specific places to see or activities to do?
what are the best forms of transportation?
what are the locals like?

1. Ones that fit your budget and that you'll have time to travel to and from.
2. Swimming, snorkelling, hiking, diving, fishing, caving, rafting, tanning, kayaking, village visits, etc.
3. Public buses are good and cheap on the mainland.
4. Friendly.

Your questions are extremely vague and are answered in any guidebook or online resource (eg. older posts on the Thorntree...). You'll get better responses when your questions are specific and show you've already put some effort into your research.

This is the second "research paper" question I've seen on TT posted yesterday. The other one was New Zealand. I wonder if they go to the same school?
Do they actually want us to do their homework?

no no noooo! We have to do the research for it and include the book we are reading in the class. But for one of the sources we have to use an interview and post a few questions on this website(lonely planet) I'm sorry I don't want you to think you are doing it for me I am doing other research but I just wanted to ask a few broad questions for any who has been to Fiji to get their perspective on visiting there.

well I wish I could but I'm in college and don't really have the money to do that.

I wonder how many other branches have questions from the same class, and whether the teacher is a poster here?

1) I am traveling to Fiji in November and I would like to know is this a good time to travel there. I am becoming slightly nervous!
2) When taking travelors checks what are the typical fees for cashing them?
3) Where could I find good meals (lunch and dinner)?
4) Are the outlets the same as U.S. outlets or should I purchase a different type, if so which type?
5) Does anyone know of a good website to find activities in Fiji?

1) Historically not the ideal time of year, but no big deal. Could be great in November.
2) Don't take travelers cheques.
3) Restaurants presumably. Fiji is a big place and your question is way too broad.
4) Assuming you're talking about electricity, it's not the same as the US. It's the same as Australia and NZ (2 slanted prongs).
