Reservations Required for Fiji Accommodations?

Hi there. Heading to Fiji on from July 11th to July 29th. The first week will be getting married at the Royal Davui resort in Beqa Lagoon, and from there will be backpacking around the islands (from July 19th to 29th or so).

My question is around how stringent we need to be around making reservations? Was hoping to play our travel by ear a bit and go where we feel like in the moment, but am wondering if there is always accommodation readily available throughout the country?

I really think you can find some kind of accommodation anywhere, at any time - as long as you are not too fussy about what you get.
If you really want to go backpacking on your honeymoon trip (?!?), budget accommodation should be available without reservations.
