Santa goes to Fiji

I'm taking my girlfriend to Fiji this Christmas for the first time and I want it to be perfect. Ideally, I'd like something romantic, not too mainstream, but still with amenities. What islands should I look into? Any ideas for great places to stay in the $300-$400 range would be appreciated!

Great! Thanks, Peter. That looks like a really wonderful option. We are going to stay there for 5 nights!
If you had to pick a second place just to do something different, would you have a suggestion? We're thinking we'll go somewhere else for the other 4 nights of our trip just to switch it up.

The other choice would be a Yasawa Islands cruise. We did several with Blue Lagoon Cruises while we lived there, but I think they are gone now. Google Captain Cook cruises.
Small boats (max 75 passengers) and only about 3 hours cruising per day, the rest anchored up at a new beach or village.
