Savusavu - Daku Resort

We'll be in Savusavu with both sets of parents in January 2007. Has anyone stayed at Daku Resort and can comment on the facilities etc? We could stay anywhere but when you get the in-laws involved....we need something like Cousteau, but at cheap Fiji prices. Approximately $125-$150 Canadian per night per couple.

Am open to house rentals as well if you have advice - needs to be able to hold 6 people though. Also would prefer close to Savusavu.

We stayed there a few years back and it was very nice - lovely gardens, we had a small bure with bathroom & tea/coffee facilities. They also had a couple of houses & we looked a the one near the road which had a very big covered verandah which we liked the look of. I think that would sleep 6 - worth asking if they still let it out. There is a small beach just across the road which wasn't great but OK. Took us about 20 minutes to stroll into town, a taxi was very cheap. Smallish pool and pleasant restaurant /bar.
Can't confirm what it is like right now though.

Mumu's has an excellent location near Savu Savu. I camped there but they have two houses for rent.
