self catering in Fiji

We are considering the options for a holiday in the Pacific later in the year and I hope that somebody will have some information about self catering accommodation on Vita Levu. I tried a few years ago with no success except for some "bungalows" in resorts. We wouldn't want to be in Nadi or probably not Suva.

Well, instead of Nadi move a bit north and stay in Lautoka.

Or, check out Pacific Harbour, they may have some house rentals etc., it's a large complex about 45 min W of Suva.

There is also Tubakula Beach Bungalows on Coral Coast, which has self-catering bungalows (basic kitchens, no microwaves or ovens, but gas cookers and decent fridge/freezer)--info on Fiji4Less website.

There is self-catering on Nananu-i-ra at most of the accomodation places. We are going there late April/May so if you want to now more after that let us know.
