Storing Luggage in Fiji

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji

I'll be in Fiji for a week in Feb on my way to Australia for 5 months, I have my backpack that I will use to travel around, but can I feel safe about leaving my other luggage at the resort? I don't know where i'm staying yet and I don't plan on booking in advance, but i'll be on a backpacker's budget. Is there locker storage at the airport? or Is it safe to leave my luggage at the resort? Also, if anyone has any recommendations on where to stay, I'll take suggestions.

More conviniently than at resorts, you could leave it at the hotel where you spend your first/last night in a place like Nadi or Lautoka.
Almost all will store luggage for you, some for free (assuming you are their guest) others for a small fee.
I think any of the budget hotels listed here do it for free.
It worked perfect for me.

There is a luggage storage room at the airport. It is rather pricey(there were 2 of us) but very convienent - we used for the week we went to Waya Island.

most places you stay for your first night will store it for you till you return, some for free others for a small charge.

The luggage storage at the airport is a room with shelving racks, you put your bags on them, pay (a fair bit) and enter details in a book didn't seem very secure when we were there....
