three days near Nandi airportCountry forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji
Hello, I am flying in three days before my friends, and I need to find a hotel where I can relax and deal with the jet lag. As far as price -medium range would be ideal. I have been looking at the guide book and the hotels near the airport sound bad. thanks
I can recommend Raffles Gateway Hotel - we just pull our bags across the road to it or hop on their free shuttle if it is available. It is close to the airport but we were not bothered by noise from the airport. The rooms are nice and they have upgraded recently - the standard rooms are basic but the next level up are really nice. They have a great pool area, a bar with pool tables, a nice restaurant and a bus stops right outside so you can do trips to Nadi or Lautoka. There are a number of great restaurants (The Bounty has a great house band) about 15 minutes away in Martinair - just take the bus or a taxi. You could consider doing a day trip to one of islands - there is a travel agent in the Raffles lobby for booking - you can check out the tours online at southseacruises.com - hope this helps! | 1
10 minutes north on the coast there is First Landing and Anchorage and they have day trips direct to their sister resort of Beachcomber (island). Cheers, | 2
I second the Raffles Gateway Hotel. | 3
Stoney Creek Resort....little bit further away but very peaceful spot in the heart of the countryside and good spot to meet a few locals... | 4
