travel to Blue Lagoon Resort

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji

Malalo, Blue Lagoon or Malo????
Looking at traveling to either of these islands. All 3 have loads to offer - we are a family of 4, 2 young children.
Blue Lagoon looks like the winner, only... getting there!! I (mum) suffer from sea-sickness and don't like the prospect of traveling for 4 hours on a boat..
Has anyone been to any of these islands - and can recommend ?? We like quiet, we like great food, we also like to snorkel and our children love swimming. Hmmmmm. HELP!!!

"don't like the prospect of traveling for 4 hours on a boat.. " - its probably nearer to 5 hours than 4.
For this reason, Id sugest that you look at staying at Octopus Is - a bit dearer but 3+ hours closer...each way.

Thank for the tip!

The Flyer leaves Denarau at 8.30am, gets to Octopus at 11am, and is usually at Nacula (Blue Lagoon stop) by 1pm ( so 4 & half hours). I suffer from seasickness too but have never been seasick on the Flyer, it's a very stable boat even when the sea is not dead calm. We usually sit in the main cabin - if it was rough you would get more movement upstairs.

Blue Lagoon - great choice! - but I love Octopus too.
