travelling fiji

hi there

is it possible to stay in simple beach hut type places in fiji...?
i have heard it is expensive and was wondering if it is possible to find simple, inexpensive acomodation somewhere in the islands.
is it easy to ferry between islands - i would like to be somewhere remote and not too touristy/inhabited -

i just want to lazily move between a few islands, swim and read books - nothing fancy

I think Caqalai Island would be the right place for you. It's basic, beautiful and for Fiji inexpensive. The Bure (thatched beach hut) costs F$ 48 including 3 meals. Boat transfer from Viti Levua (about 1.5 hour bus ride from Suva) to the Island is F$ 30 one way.
