Travelling to Fiji on my own in MAY, where to stay?

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji

Dear all. Im planning to travel to Fiji in MAY 2016, on my own, lady, for around 5 days and would like to have ideas of the best Island Paradise to stay, a safe one, not very expensive, to relax, water sports, sight seeing, and party.
Will appreciate your ideas, thank you :)
Lucie

Hi, lucief. Welcome to Thorn Tree.

I have moved your post from General Chat to the Pacific Islands-Fiji. General Chat is not the best place to post questions about travel to specific places--it's more for just chatting about travel.

Happy Travels!

1

you could try one of the local cruises, they have bunk rooms, a 4 night cruise gives a different place twice a day for snorkeling, and swimming, other people to party with and the food is good.

2

A cruise, Octopus Resort or Beachcomber Resort which is a tiny party island.
They are all 'safe'.

Cheers,
Peter

Your choice will depend on what you mean by "sight-seeing". If you go to an island resort then sightseeing in any form will be very limited. This means the choice would be for a mainland (Viti Levu) resort. Considering the other items on your wish-list, and the short duration of the trip, you should go to a travel agent and book a holiday that falls within your budget. That will also be the easy way to get the party/socializing items. "Safety" is not an issue to worry about.
