Two Weeks Backpacker in Fiji

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji

Hi Guys.

I'm going to Fiji for two weeks and want to know what the cheapest way to get around is? I want to head out to the islands, everybody I've spoken to has recommended the Yasawa islands, but not sure what the best way to get there is. People have told me about the Bula Pass but this seems quite expensive. Is there any other way to vist the islands for a cheaper price, for example buying one way to tickets to each of the islands I want to visit.

Thanks

It is theoretically possible to try to arrange island transfers on a villager's boat, which should be cheaper. However, it's not really a practical option unless you're extremely flexible. The Yasawa Flyer's Bula Pass is the best option overall if you plan to visit multiple islands. If you're only going to one island, then just paying for a direct transfer on the Flyer is cheaper.

Going to the loverly Yasawas means paying through the nose over & over & over-all for privilege of being another lemming.

Or you could head east.......
