Two Weeks in January

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji

I'm hitting Fiji for a two week whirlwind bachelor tour of Fiji. Five nights at Mango Bay, three at Manta Ray, and three at Waya Laylai with the potential to cancel my flight and spend another week or so if the country seizes me.

Anybody else going to be in similar areas around the same time? I'm traveling with some friends who aren't quite as active as I am, and would love to have a travel buddy for a few cultural tours or adventure treks.

heyo! I'm Jenni Jane and I'm from Texas and Fiji is the first stop on a 12 month RTW trip i'm taking. I'm planning to land in Nadi around the 14th of January and spend about 20 days or so hopping around the islands. I really don't have much of a plan right now, working on it at the moment (thus the visit to the thorn tree forums fiji page) but when I ran across your post it seemed perfect! I'm a food and design writer so i love to delve into the local food scene, but I'm also keen on anything adrenaline producing, i love to get out there and see things and do anything a little crazy. I love to dive but i'm also looking forward to a few days of doing absolutely nothing but baking on the beach. I'm on a very tight budget, as my blog is about making it on as little money as possible (also because i have as little money as possible ha ha)
but if you are interested I'd love to plan on meeting up and doing some adventuring together! All three of the places you mentioned in your post look AWESOME and I already want to hit them up!
how were you planning on getting around between the places? bus? rent a car? fly?
anyways, check out my site to learn more about me (i promise i'm really fun and i like to act stupid and i'm really popular and cool, sort of, and totally not a crazy person) at www.jjwanderlustgame.com

hopefully we can get together and see fiji!

speak soon

G'day!

It sounds like we'd be great travel buddies, but you're arriving the day I planned to leave :-( That said, I'm contemplating sticking around a week or so longer if my financial situation allows it - so I'll keep you posted in. I'll check out your blog too. Check out mine if you get a chance: http://www.aussieontheroad.com
