weather On Waya this christmas !

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji

So we are off to Waya island next week, i'm well aware its the start of the wet season, and the weather reports on the internet have a few clouds with lightning bolts at the moment which we don't mind to much. I'm just wondering if anyone who may be in the area could give me a more detailed report, are these just afternoon storms? is there still plenty of sunshine during the day ??

any help much appreciated

Maybe, maybe not is the answer....

Cheers,
Peter

Exactly. No one can predict actual weather conditions.
But usually, there is at least some sunshine during the day even in that season.
But sometimes it will be overcast and rainy all day, sometimes all sunny.

Have a look at the webcam on the Castaway Resort website. Its in the Mamanucas, not too far away from Waya - I've always found it gives a fair idea of what to expect.
