What to do in Fiji....

I've just finished spending 2 weeks in Fiji as part of a round the world trip.
I stayed in 4 different places...

Beachcomber Island - Great fun, definate party island. I stayed 5 days but I would say 3 would be plenty. They have 1 dorm that sleeps over 80 people and many bures. If you don't want to stay in the massive dorm book ahead. Also there is a beautiful reef just of the island for snorkling. You can drink you own alcohol in the bar once it is shut at about midnight.
Costs are around 80FJD (dorm) a night including food.

The Beachouse - This is one of the best finds in Fiji and would really recommend it to anyone. For around 30FJD you get a beautiful clean dorm room or for about 90FJD you can get a garden bure (I stayed in the dorm by myself and the bure when my girlfriend showed up). It's easy to get to as they'll pick you up from hostels in Nadi bay. It's also where they filmed celebrity love island... if that's something that interests you.

By far the best budget option.

Robinson Crusoe Island - I was expecting this to be similar to Beachcomber.... unfortunately I was very dissapointed. You pay around 90FJD a night including food. The island is very basic, to shower you have to fill a bucket, the food isn't all that nice and they are incredibly strict about drinking you own alcohol. For the price I really didn't think this was a good choice. If you're looking to spend that sort of money I'd recommend either beachcomber or my last choice.

The Radisson - Spent 2 nights at the radisson which was surprisingly cheap. It works out at a little under 100FJD a night for one of the most beautiful rooms you could imagine with some amazing pools. Go on treat yourself.... it still mistifies me that its only 10FJD a night more expensive than Robinson Crusoe.

Thanks for your post, excellent advice and just what i was after. How was the food at Beachouse? I think i'm going to stay there for a stop. I can't believe you managed to get the Raddison so cheap? How did you manage that.. was the rate per person?
