Where/how to watch rugby union in Fiji?Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji
Hello, I'll be in Fiji later this month and would love to see rugby union. A club game would be fine. But I can't find any forward-looking fixture lists even for big tournaments like Skipper Cup. Anybody know how to find fixture lists? And can you just turn up and get tickets at grounds? Even if fixtures not confirmed yet, are rugby union games always on same day? Maybe Saturday? Would be a shame to go to such a rugby nation and not see any! Thanks
The Fiji rugby union website has a fixtures listing. Other than that, the best thing to do is ask around once you're in Fiji. I was there for 2 months and stumbled across two games by chance. I'm not hugely interested in rugby, but didn't want to pass up the cultural experience. I was in Lautoka when a big game was played. It was possible to get a ticket on the day, and it was crowded-to-full. | 1
Hi, yes thanks the Skipper Cup fixtures just appeared there in the last few days! I will just ask around or go and hang out at the ground early. Looks like games are on a Saturday. Thanks | 2
