Hi Guys | ||
The Yasawa Flyer meets up with all of the resorts boats. Those resort boats then take you to their beach, where you'll wade ashore. The Awesome Adventures website may not list a particular place on their route, but all of the resorts in the Yasawa Islands are reachable via the Flyer. If you're not picky about where you spend those 3 days, then you can just make a booking when you're there. If you want to stay in a popular place like Octopus, a reservation is needed. Do stay in the islands, rather than going back to Viti Levu. | 1
I love the islands much more than the main land myself. Since you are there for such a short time, I would book in advance to avoid having to spend any of your precious time there tyring to work out your travel arrangements. Blue Lagoon is a great choice and you might spent your other 3 days at their sister property Octopus as already mentioned. I would do Octopus first and Blue Lagoon second (save the best for last!). Another resort I enjoyed was Manta Ray - to get to swim with the Manta Rays was a great experience! Or another option right near Blue Lagoon is Nanuya Island Resort -- this books up well in advance though as it is quite small and popular. Enjoy! Fiji is great!! | 2
Thank you for the replies, I think i shall try to book in advnce, | 3
Nanuya is quite close to Blue Lagoon, Octopus is 2 hours further south travelling on the Yasawa Flyer. I have just spent a week at BL & a further 8 days at Octopus. I would do it again in that order, all travel is on the Yasawa Flyer - the trip out (leaving 8.30am from Denarau, getting to BL at around 12.30pm) - then back to Octopus (12.30pm, arriving Octopus 3pm) - from there you have the choice of going back to the mainland on the Flyer (3pm, arriving 6pm) or on the Octopus boat (12 noon, arriving Vuda around 1pm). | 4
