Which Island Resort?

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji

I am so sorry for another topics, I tried to delete my other two but it won't let me.

Ignore last two topics, I have researched a LOT and narrowed it all down.

For the first 7 nights (31st Oct 18 - 7th Nov 18) we want to stay in the Mamanuca Islands.

We have narrowed it down to the following and would love opinions on which is the best (in terms of scenery and snorkelling and actives):

FunkyFish Surf & Beach Resort - Malolo Island

Mantaray Island Resort - Nanuya Lailai Island

CoralView Resort - Tavewa Island

The second portion of our trip (7th Nov - 15th Nov) will be spent at the Beach House down in Namatakula as it seems affordable, well rated and will allow us to explore the southern coast of Fiji and take a few days trips out and about and see Beqa Island!

Mantaray and Coralview are in the Yasawas not the Mamanucas. Funky fish is ok but not the best for snorkeling.
Is Navini Island in your price range as we think it has the best snorkeling from shore in the Mananucas and the daily boat trips to other reefs are all included.
We have stayed at most of the Mananuca Islands.

Ah yes my mistake - I meant Mamanucas and Yasawa's. Will look at Navini now.

2

Sadly Navini is too much for us. At the moment we are thinking Mantaray as for a week, inclusive of all meals it will cost us about £480 which seems reasonable!

3

Snorkeling at Mantaray will be better than Funky Fish, have not been to Coralview or Namatakula.

the second part of your trip at the beachhouse, is a lot of days, I suggest you move on, and visit some of the east coast, it is easy to bus right around the Island and cheap. I do recommend the Navua River if you like waterfalls, so stay near Pacific Harbour, and then a little time in Suva.
