Yawasa Islands, Fiji - Seeking recommendations of where to stay this time

I am heading to Fiji in August once again and am looking for another island to experience. So far I have stayed at:

Oarsmans Bay Lodge
Botaira Island Resort
Nanuya Island Resort
Mantaray Island Resort
Tokoriki Island Resort
Beachcomber Island Resort

I love white sand beaches, blue water and fantastic snorkelling. I don't wnat the flash 5 star experience - done that. A beachfront bure and sand floor dining is just fine. Can anyone recommend somewhere else?

I am considering trying Mana Island or Matamanoa Island. Does anyone have feed back re these?

When i was on Mana it was all couples and i was swf - people were reclusive and after two days i airlifted out to beachcomber. best snorkeling i found was molololailai just off nadi.

Just heard some hours ago, that Ratu Kinis at Mana has done a lot of improvements and doing very well, haven't experienced myself, though. here the link www.ratukinidiveresort.com.fj

if you don't like it, head for the East!

Korovou

Have snorkeled right around both Mana and Matamanoa and of your two options we would recommend Matamanoa for your best snorkeling.
Have been to just about all the Mamanuca islands with resorts on them and stayed at most.
We are heading back to Amunuca in August, it gets terrible reviews on TripAdvisor and we agree with most of them but the snorkeling is great so we put up with the rest of it.

I second Waya lailai. I'd also suggest White Sand Beach. They have a great lagoon for snorkeling.

I have been kicking back and trying a couple of different adventures of late. Went to Europe in 2007 and did a cruise around the South Pacific over this Christmas/New Years break. It's been 5 months since the last holiday... so I am desparate to just have that next holiday 'booked'.

After much deliberation, I decided on Octopus Resort for a couple of nights and then back to ole faithful.. beautiful Oarsmans Bay Lodge - you just can't beat the beach.

What have you been doing???

When will you be on Octopus Schwabbie? Family and I arebooked in for early July this year.(was on Oarsman last year)

Mandja - I will be at Octopus second week of August. How did you like Oarsmans. I just love the place. Have been about 4 times now. Oni (front office manager) is like a relative these days. Can't wait for the big Fijian hug on my return.

We really loved Oarsman- a paradise. The staff , as you know are great and very friendly (genuinely so). As well, there was a school group from USA and Canada, same age as my daughter, so she was happy too.

If it wasnt for the long boat ride, we mightve gone again this year, but Im really looking forward to Octopus. Besides, this year the friends we will travel with wanted the pool , and the better food, hence the choice of Octopus.
